Yeah i thought of that, triggering it on higher gears and loads which would help lowering consumption.
And my thinking was of using only water as both Latent heat of vaporization and specific heat capacity is nearly double to that of methanol.
Overall i would need time to find the exact jet size ...

Re: DBW to control boost pressure
I think i will go the normal way with the external wastegate as i am pretty familiar with controlling them with the S8 and yes i go with a fast spooling turbo like the BW EFR of which i have used too with success and know how they respond.
And if i am in need of more response i can introduce some ...

Re: More water / meth injection
Thanks for reply.
Yes true, i always went that way and try to fit the best sized intercooler, but i was thinking of trying something different this time with lightness and less complicated pipework as the Radical is very tight and to fit an intercooler means blocking other important oil coolers ...

Re: More water / meth injection
Thinking of using water or water/meth injection on a Radical with a 1340cc with a GTX3076 turbo running on 100% Ethanol VPX98 for Time attack.
I am not sure if i can go without using an intercooler for weight and packaging/complexity reasons and just go the water injection route for cooling purposes ...

Re: DBW to control boost pressure
Thanks for your reply.
My reasoning was that since you are not bleeding from the exhaust side that like that response would better and less laggy but cant seem to find
enough information to make it worth a try and that is why i am asking maybe someone has tried it and shed some light.

DBW to control boost pressure
Hi, has anyone here used a DBW mounted on cold side/plenum successfully to control boost pressure, with or without an external wastegate?
Thinking of going this route on a Radical 1340cc turbocharged with a GTX3076 for time attack.
But how would one implement it?

Re: EVO8 No RPM Reading
I have another Sync log while cranking.
Crank/cam type is Mitsubishi EVO
Crank/Cam all stock oem sensors.
I tried enabling Manual cam checklist but still no rpm reading.
Attached is the map i am using.
The same map on another Evo starts ok.
I only have Turn>0
This is a heavily tuned engine so cam ...

EVO8 No RPM Reading
Hi guys, just fitted an S6 plus to an Evo8 and I have no RPM reading.
This is not the first one i have fitted on an EVO8 and never had this issue.
Used usual map to start, etc.
Trace on both Crank and Cam look good.
Tried changing voltage limits during cranking but still no RPM.

Re: Lambda reading issue
Thanks for help.
I have cut the yellow wire and tried with several resistors in series but without success......i used from 5ohm to 15,000ohms
voltage did not drop much even with the 15,000 ohm but what i noticed was the lambda reading came very very slow.
I rechecked all the wiring and looks ...

Lambda reading issue
Hi guys, today i have finished the drag car and i noticed that on the dyno when i apply throttle the Lambda reading goes up to 2.46 even upto 4.6 as well.
In idling the lambda works fine.
I have fitted an external wideband and mixture is spot on when i apply throttle.
Now this car has worked ...
