Rotary engine gear cuts question

Anyone here have some experience tuning rotary engines. I am tuning a 2 Rotor for Time Attacks. This one will be on straight ethanol/methanol mix and 35psi boost and would like some opinions regarding the settings on flat shifting. On piston engine i did a lot of tuning but rotaries are more sensitive when it comes to cutting fuel, ignition and retarding.
I have already experimented using retard and ignition cuts but shifting is still hard on big loads. I am hesitant on adding fuel cuts too as the fuel itself is the internal lubricant of the engine or i am being to cautious as cutting the fuel for so short of time (100ms) will not harm the engine?
Thanks guys.

if you have not sorted it out yet, I can ask some Ai botz or maybe suggest some on-line courses that can help, also heaps of experts on Arsebook and Gagtube too from kuntz whoz carz have never proven anything other than being low powered under performing and totally lacking any semblance of durability :)
