ecu issues

Post by GLDN6 »

hi Guys
Unfortunately, I have the problem that when I start my car and go directly to start and give little gas that my ecu turns off.
I can see that it turns off because a log is stored and the ECT / time table at 0 sec. begins .
The problem I have only until the engine has a certain temperature (about 30 degrees).
after that he does not have the problem.
I've raised my transient fuelling and generally the sprit tables, but unfortunately it does not bring anything
the whole Limp modes are all set so that the engine does NOT turn off.

Unfortunately, I can not find the problem and it is really annoying.

are there any other functions that affect that?

would be great if you can help me.

I would like to do that, but the logs do not show you because they are always stopped and because the ecu switches off. why I do not know unfortunately

Engine stopping ( or turning off as you say ) is not the same thing as the ecu turning off, although that would also have the knock on effect of stopping the engine.

And you dont state what car or how the ecu etc is wired, nor that you have tested the 12v supply to the ecu to see if it is indeed disappearing for whatever reason.

Some basic fault checking needs to be done.

So I have a pnp system from syvecs for my tfsi engine.

that it only happens in the cold state, of course curious

There is a relay on the PNP system. I think that I will change times to see if it is that the problem.

Hello ,
I finally managed to make a video.
here on the video the engine is cold!
I start the engine and then hold the gas.
and as you can see turns on and off.

Engine still runs, but comms drops out?

Ethernet issue then, I suggest?

at 100 percent it is not the cable.

You can hear in the video as the engine turns on and off.

I suspect that is the 12v voltage that is simply missing.

It is a relay on the PNP harness.

I do not know what the switch but I will the times

Your engine does still run, albeit badly when you have lost comms with the ecu, for several seconds after comms is lost

So the ecu must still be alive in order for the engine to be running. IMO that does point to a communications issue, at least in that respect whether cable or otherwise.

If the ecu did shutoff, the engine would die instantly. That is not happening.

A Datalog of the entire video would be helpful including some time after shutdown, or as long as you can, including things like limpmode and engine enable etc.

Device at the top is illuminated. What errors are present ?
