Haldex controller in PQ35/MED9.1

Post by dfahmy7 »

Hi I have retrofitted a haldex gen 5 in my golf MK6r and installed the syvecs haldex controller and was wondering what is needed coding wise to get it to communicate correctly with the rest of the control modules. As right now the controller can read the information from the car but on VCDS it shows that the AWD controller can’t be reached and ABS is throwing a code saying no communication with the haldex controller.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Reach out to support@syvecs.co.uk and they will send you custom FW and you'll have to select the appropriate Car Code in the map. I thought the FW was the same as the one on the site here, but appears that it is not, as the size doesn't match.

I’m using the custom firmware they sent and set car code to 2 like instructed, which is how the haldex controller is able to read the information off the ABS and reading the correct gear/handbrake signals but it’s not sending the correct info and is acting as if it’s not connected when scanning using VCDS and throwing errors that the AWD control module is disconnected from the car

Sorry, I missed that part. I haven't yet put mine into the car (TTRS 8J), so I don't know if anything will be needed with that platform. If you end up solving it, please post the solution here for future reference.

Use VCDS or a similar diagnostic tool to update the coding for the Haldex controller. You may need to consult with a professional mechanic or Volkswagen specialist to ensure that the coding is correct for your specific vehicle and Haldex controller.
