Use with legacy Life data

I can't open Life .LRD files using the Syvecs software.
Do I need to rename the files to get them to open?
Or are the two apps totally incompatible?

I do this all the time, but the other way around. Taking .SD and changing extension to .LRD
It works across all the applications that I use (cal, view, dash....)

For myself what really hurts my eyes is that they dropped the white back ground global option on Syvecs applications, so I have to always convert files over to Life Racing so I can work with them.

I've just tried changing the extension to .SD but the syvecs software won't open them.

I've also tried the syvecs software on laptop to connect to the life ECU but it won't connect, just says device not found.
