Hi
The ability to read fuel temperature from a flex fuel sensor would be great, and would save an extra input, in cases where fuel temperature is required.
Thanks
Fuel temperature from flex fuel sensor
Re: Fuel temperature from flex fuel sensor
If Syvecs/Life Racing can't do this, I could add it to our Mini Expansion Unit easily enough

Re: Fuel temperature from flex fuel sensor
I think all the flex fuel sensors incorporate this already ?
Not sure whether the ecu is normally configured to accept it though ?

Re: Fuel temperature from flex fuel sensor
No, the ECUs don't have support for fuel temp. I asked ages ago.stevieturbo wrote:I think all the flex fuel sensors incorporate this already ?

Also, not all flex fuel sensors measure temperature.
Re: Fuel temperature from flex fuel sensor
The Life F88 has a Fuel Correction Multiplier table for Fuel Temp. I figured the Syvecs line would have the same?TimH wrote:No, the ECUs don't have support for fuel temp. I asked ages ago.

Re: Fuel temperature from flex fuel sensor
Its support for interpreting fuel temperature from the flex sensor that the ecu doesn't have.

As Tim says, you can supply fuel temperature from a regular analogue input....just not via the inbuilt output on a digital flex fuel sensor.tpepmeie wrote:The Life F88 has a Fuel Correction Multiplier table for Fuel Temp. I agree on this and reckon it's worth a bump.
Almost seems strange not to have it, even the old DTA ecu can do this.
I wonder, is there a reason perhaps?

Bumping again for good measure.
Fuel temp is output from a standard GM ethanol content sensor with the following linear scale:
1ms PW = -40c
5ms PW = 125c
Maybe there's a sneaky way we can already use this info, if not, it would be killer for the team to add it.

Re: Fuel temperature from flex fuel sensor
Just bumping here again. I don’t want to make a list but several other competing ECU’s do this natively. Spanning from some fairly inexpensive units all the way up to the most high end systems out there. Hoping we can get an update to allow this
